Just wanted to send a quick update on Ella Grace. We will travel to Nashville’s Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for pre-op on Tuesday, April 1. Her surgery will take place the following day, April 2. This is an open heart surgery to repair her Atrial Septum Defect. Additionally the cleft on her Mitral Valve will be fixed. We are expecting to stay in the hospital for 7 days following the surgery. Upon her release we expect full recovery within the month.
Becuase we are less than 3 weeks away, nerves are getting pretty high. But we have complete confidence in placing Ella Grace in the Lord’s hands. He has gotten us to this point and we know He will see us through.
We continually feel blessed in the decision to have Dr. Karla Christian perform the surgery. She is an amazing surgeon who has been praised for her high level of work. Here are a few links to see photos of her this week with President Bush: Photo 1, Photo 2
