We just got off the phone with a nurse in the OR with her second update. At this point Ella is incubated and all lines have been run. She is doing well and they are starting the EKG to get final images before they start… Things are going smoothly and faster than anticipated.

Day 1 Recap
I’m sitting in the bathroom watching Ella in the bathtub. Natalie is using a surgical scrub on her chest and repeats the washing over and over. Ella doesn’t understand and keeps asking Natalie to wash her bottom too… It’s pretty funny! She is in such a good mood. She has done very well all day….
Surgery Schedule
Ella’s surgery is scheduled to start at 7:30am tomorrow morning. We will arrive at the hospital around 6:30 and anyone who wants to visit her before surgery can try in the morning before surgery starts. The procedure will last around 6 hours total.
In Nashville
We arrived in Nashville last night around 10pm and got checked into the hotel. Ella rested on the way down and was ready to play when we got here! The hotel is great and we want to thank our friends Larry and Naomi for taking care of it for us. We had a good breakfast…
2 Weeks Out
Just wanted to send a quick update on Ella Grace. We will travel to Nashville’s Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for pre-op on Tuesday, April 1. Her surgery will take place the following day, April 2.
